Mother+Aaron+Family-(Mother take two slices of bread, Aaron takes it and then family gets off the stage) Narrator-Aaron is now off to his journey to the town and hes supposed to spend the night at the Butchers place. Zlateh-(appear in the stage) Aaron+Zlateh-(Walk.. just keep on walking,in circles or squares,whatever ) Narrator-Zlateh trusted humans, but he had been led to a mysterious track, and somehow seems astonished. Zlateh-(Bahh ) Narrator-As Zlateh and Aaron keep walking in the direction of the town, they relize that the sky is getting really dark and snow starts falling. Prop-(1:Hold the clouds 2:Throw a little bit of snow onto them ) Narrator-As what is happening is that they relize a storm is heading out towards them because the wind blows loudly whistling, and the snow hitting on them harder and their fright occurs. Prop-(Huiying whistlee wind noises )(Someone use a fan, and fan Zlateh and Aaron as they were being blown by the wind) Zlateh-Bahhhhhh. Narrator-The storm is now wildd, and the snoww is also crazilyy falling, it now gets harder and harder for them to walkk, and causes Aaron to collapse. Aaron-(Pretend the road is really hard to walk and pretend to tug on Zlatehs Rope really hard, then fall. then pick your self up) Narrator-Zlateh wished to be home by the time, and so she felt betrayed by her fellow human beings.. Aaron-(pray.. )Dear God, I pray that Zlateh, this innocent animal, and I will be safe through this storm. Narrator- As they keep on walking, they see a pile of hay, and irresistibly, Aaron took Zlateh into the Hay with him, and of course, Zlateh was hungry, so he gobble up some of the hay, and Aaron ate some of his bread. Zlateh+Aaron-(get into the hay room when Narrator says Aaron took Zlateh into the Hay) Zlateh-(eat the hayy, then lay down) Aaron-(eat the bread) Narrator-As you see, Zlatehs utters were full. Aaron-(Stare at Zlatehs utters) Narrator-Aaron was still hungry, and since Zlatehs utters were full, Aaron drunk some milk. :S: Aaron-(drink milk out of Zlatehs utters by squeezing them while narrator talks, keep on doing it until the next Bahh after Narrator talks) Narrator-As the days passed, they did the same to survive, and soon, Aaron treated Zlateh as a sibling, and loved her very much. Aaron had no one to talk to, and Zlateh was the only one that was there, so. Aaron talked to Zlateh to share his thoughts and feelings Aaron-Zlateh, what do you think about what had happened to us. Zlateh-Bahhh. Aaron-If we hadnt found this stack of hay, we would both be frozen stiff by now. Zlateh-Bahhh. Aaron-If the snow keeps on falling like this, we would have to stay in here for many many days. Zlateh-Bahhh. Aaron-What does Bahh mean, you better speak up clearly. Zlateh-Bahhh. Bahh.. Aaron-I know your trying but you cant so let it be Bahh.. Zlateh-Bahhh. Aaron-I know you understand me even if you cant speak, but I need you, and you need me right. Zlateh-Bahhh.. Aaron-(Yawnn) I think its late, make pillow out of some hay. (fall asleep) Zlateh-Bahh. (fall asleep) Narrator-They slept and slept. until they felt energized. and their next day starts.. Aaron-(Wake up, open your eyes, then yawnn. ) Narrator-Aaron had no idea either it was day or night, the window was covered by snoww, and he couldnt reach out to the window, but when he peeked outside, it was dark, he had no way to identify is it day or night. :S: Aaron-(look at the window, then use a stick to poke out the window) Prop-(Throw lots of snow when Aaron peeks out)(Someone whistle like the wind) Zlateh-(Wake up) Bahh. Aaron-I know that your language is only one word, but it means alot, Zlateh. Zlateh-Bahhh. Aaron-I know that this is already perfect, we have to accept what god gives us, heat, cold, hunger, satisfaction, light and darkness. Its just life. Zlateh-Bahhh. Prop-(make a tummy rumble sound for Aaron) Aaron-Oh, I guess Im hungry, I guess I dont mind taking some of your milkk.. (squeeze Zlatehs utters and preten to drink milk) Narrator-For three days, Aaron and Zlateh stayed in the haystack, and of course, Aaron had always loved Zlateh, but in these three days, he loved her more and more. Zlateh fed Aaron with milk and help him keep warm and also comforted him with patience while Aaron told Zlateh many stories, and Zlateh always listened. Aaron-(pat Zlateh head) Zlateh-(lick Aaron face)Bahh.. Aaron+Zlateh-(fall asleep) Narrator-Aaron new that the actions and words werent much, but he known it meant I Love you. Narrator-The snow fell for three days already and those days were silent, all that was heard were the wind howling all day. Those days mostly included sleeping, they slept all night, and a good part of the day. As for Aaron, his dreams were all about warm weather, he dreamed of green fields, trees covered with blossoms, clear brooks, and singing birds. Aaron-(Wake up)Zlateh, the snow stopped!!!! Zlateh-Bahhh Narrator-The snow stopped falling, and the storm was over, but Aaron didnt dare to find his way home in the darkness. The sky was becoming clear, and the shone. Prop-(Show the moon) Aaron-(Aaron, Dig you way out of the hay, then look around like your looking around the world) Narrator-They stayed and slept in the haystack until the next day and. Prop-(ring bells) Aaron-Zlateh, you hear bells ringing!!! Zlateh-Bahhh. Aaron-(pushes out the haystack) Aaron-Hi peasant, may you point out the way to the town. Peasant-(enter stage with sled) Peasant on sleigh-Im sorry little boy, I dont know the way there, but if you go this way, there will be a village.. Peasant-(off stage with sled) Narrator-While Aaron and Zlateh are following the peasants directions to get back to the village, Aarons family and their neighbors had searched for the Aaron and Zlateh but they found no trace of them during the storm. They feared that they were lost. :s: Mother+Father+Neighbor-(eneter the stage with paper) Mother+Father+Neighbors-(walk all around asking)did you see a little boy and a goat anywhere? Neighbor-(off the stage) Mother+Sisters-(cry ) Father-(stay sad and gloomy) Neighbor-(enter stage) Alert Neighbor-(Runn to family)Hey, Hey, Aaron and Zlateh are coming up the road!! Aaron and Zlateh are coming up the road!! Neighbor-(off stage) Family-(smilee)Your backk, Im so glad that your okay!!! Narrator-Aaron then shares the way he survived during the storm. Aaron-(pretend to explain to the family about how they survive storm) Sisters-(hug Zlateh, then feed Zlateh some chopped carrots) Zlateh-(Gobble up all the carrots) On stage people-(Keep on doing same action until told to do somthing else) Narrator- No-one ever thought of selling Zlateh anymore for what he has done for the family. Narrator-They were glad the cold weather has finally set in. The villagers lined up one by one asking Reuven the furrier for his services. Extras-(enter stage) Reuven+Extras-(have the extras line up in front of you, and then I want you to measue the extras, and preten you are going to make them their clothing) Narrator when Hanukkah came, y mother made pancakes every evening, and Zlateh even got her portion. And of course Zlateh had a Pen, but he always knocked his horns on the door of the Kitchen, and they always let him in Reuven+extras-(off stage) Mother-(make pancakes) Kids-(play with dreidal) Zlateh-(watch flickering lights) Narrator-The kids spent Hannukah playing the Dreidal, and Zlateh watched them, and the flickering lights of the Hannukah candles. And once in a while Aaron would ask Zlateh.. Aaron-Remember the three days we spent together? Zlateh-Bahh.. Everyone-(Bow) Hope you enjoyed the play, Zlateh the goat.
